With digital printing, label and tag converters can enhance the value of their product offerings while affordably meeting short run demands from customers. These factors, plus the business benefits of digital printing, like quicker turnaround times and no plate costs, are driving an increasing number of converters to search for the right digital press for their business.
With the wide range of equipment choices on the market, many converters find it challenging to select a press to invest in. Do they need a digital press with in-line or near-line finishing? Or maybe they need an in-line hybrid press that incorporates digital printing with flexographic assets. Either way, converters come to a point where they must decide between digital or hybrid.
Well, not anymore. Colordyne designed two digital print solutions that integrate onto an existing flexo press, taking up no additional floorspace. Available with either water-based (aqueous) inks or UV inks, Colordyne’s retrofit solutions provide the capabilities to print both digital and hybrid jobs on the same piece of equipment. Plus, with the only capital cost being a digital print engine, the investment is often significantly less than purchasing a new standalone system, and you can continue to use the flexo assets you’ve already invested in.
