Colordyne Rolls Out Enhanced Efficiency Mode at Labelexpo-Europe 2015Alison Campbell
Focused on providing continuous innovation to the digital printing industry, Colordyne Technologies has set its sights on faster print speeds.
Improvements in print speed will be demonstrated at Labelexpo-Europe 2015 in stand 9C65. The 3600 Series Production Class platforms will feature a new Enhanced Efficiency Mode that runs at 335 feet per minute (102 m/min) at 1600 x 1135 dpi, in comparison to the existing 275 ft/min (84 m/min) at 1600 x 1375 dpi.
“We have nearly doubled our speed in the last 18 months,” said Gary Falconbridge, president, Colordyne. “We first launched our Production Class products with a maximum print speed of 160 ft/min and today we are printing at max speeds of 335 ft/min.”
The increase in speed is made possible through a minimal reduction in print resolution in the web direction, allowing for nozzles to be fired faster through the Memjet printhead.
“We continue to implement our platforms far beyond the standard ‘short run’ definition for digital printing; it is most seen with forward-thinking companies who truly understand the advantages digital printing presents and are exploiting them to their benefit,” said Falconbridge.
Also on-site at Labelexpo-Europe will be Colordyne’s newly launched 2600 Series Mini Press from the company’s Commercial Class line of products. The Mini Press prints short run digital labels at 60 feet per minute (18 m/min) at 1600 x 1600 dpi. Show attendees will see how the Mini Press’s robust, dually supported frame and servo driven web handling system allows customers to produce longer run lengths, like the Production Class system, but with a smaller footprint.
Stop by Colordyne’s stand 9C65 at Labelexpo-Europe 2015, September 29th-October 2nd at Brussels Expo in Brussels, Belgium to witness the new Enhanced Efficiency Mode and view a demonstration of the 2600 Series Mini Press.
